Piver is a historic fragrance originally created around the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris. It is associated with the early use of aldehydes in perfumery, attributed here to perfumer Georges Darzens. The current Eau de Parfum version combines aldehydes, pink pepper, and orange in the opening, followed by raspberry, rose, and saffron, with a base of musk, cedar, and amber.
